Head of HR (People Operations)

We are looking for an energetic and responsible HR Manager to join an American trucking company and take ownership of developing our People Operations function.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and onboarding employees

• Maintaining personnel records and HR documentation

• Organizing employee training and professional development

• Collaborating with department managers and team leads

• Building and maintaining a strong corporate culture

• Managing employee relations

• Managing employee performance

• Employee retention and engagement

• Developing and maintaining SOPs and internal policies

• Managing offboarding and employee terminations

• HR analytics and reporting

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in HR / People Operations

• Strong understanding of modern HR processes and practices

• Strong recruitment and interviewing skills

• Experience developing internal policies and SOPs

• Experience with performance management

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills

• Ability to independently organize and manage your workload

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace

• Ability to work with HR data and reporting
