Head of Strategic Analysis

Ipoteka Bank OTP Group is looking for a Head of Strategic Analysis to join our Strategy & Finance team.

We are looking for a strong analytical leader who can combine financial expertise, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of banking to support key management decisions and drive the Bank’s profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Strategic Analysis Department: set priorities, allocate responsibilities, monitor deliverables and develop team members.

• Analyse the banking sector, market trends and macroeconomic developments and assess their impact on the Bank.

• Evaluate the profitability of banking products, business proposals and commercial initiatives.

• Review NPV profitability reports and provide expert recommendations on pricing, funding, cost of risk and disbursement assumptions.

• Prepare financial models and analytical recommendations to support Management decision-making.

• Participate in the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategy and monitor strategic and financial KPIs.

• Coordinate with Head Office on profitability methodology, analytical inputs and reporting requirements.

• Present clear, actionable conclusions and recommendations to the Bank’s Management.

• Ensure high-quality and timely analytical deliverables from the department.

Requirements:

• 5–7+ years of experience in banking, financial analysis, FP&A, strategy, business planning or a related field.

• Experience managing a team is an advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.

• Strong understanding of banking products, the bank’s balance sheet and P&L.

• Strong knowledge of NPV/IRR, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Cost of Risk.

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

• Understanding of econometric modelling and forecasting.

• Strong understanding of macroeconomic factors such as interest rates, inflation and GDP growth and their impact on bank profitability.

• Knowledge of Central Bank of Uzbekistan regulations and basic understanding of IFRS 9.

• Advanced English — mandatory.

• Knowledge of Uzbek and Russian is an advantage.

• Experience with Power BI, SQL or Python is an advantage.

• CFA, ACCA or other relevant financial certifications are an advantage.
