CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented graduate to join our Academic Affairs team. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for a proactive individual looking to build a career in higher education administration. No prior experience is required — we will fully train you on our systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage enrollment, module registration, and status changes (withdrawals, interruptions, returns) within the EduPlus Student Information System.

• Process Rector orders and draft formal institutional correspondence, including enrollment letters and status confirmations.

• Compile and verify student academic histories for Progression and Award Boards.

• Maintain and regularly update student academic records, including enrolment history, programme details, and module registration data, ensuring completeness and accuracy at all times.

• Prepare, verify, and issue official academic correspondence upon authorisation, including enrolment confirmation letters, academic status letters, and other documents required by students for external purposes.

• Coordinate the preparation of supporting documentation for Progression Boards and Award Boards, including academic history summaries, eligibility reports, and student data compilations.

• Manage the departmental document archive, ensuring all student records — physical and digital — are filed, categorised, and retained in compliance with the institutional records retention policy.

• Partner with the Student Services Office to resolve student requests and document queries efficiently.

• Undertake additional responsibilities directed by the Head of Academic Affairs in support of departmental objectives.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Public Administration, or a related field.

Work experience:

• No prior professional work experience is required.

• Candidates must demonstrate strong personal organisation, accuracy, and a clear commitment to procedural compliance.

Hard skills:

• Confident and proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word (formal document preparation) and Excel (data entry, sorting, filtering, and basic formulas).

• Ability to learn new databases quickly.(full training on EduPlus and internal systems will be provided).

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail able to identify discrepancies, interpret regulations, and apply procedural requirements with precision.

• Professional written communication skills in English capable of drafting formal correspondence, official letters, and structured reports to an institutional standard.

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, discretion with confidential data, and the ability to stay calm under high-volume deadlines.

Soft Skills:

• Fast learner with the ability to absorb complex regulatory frameworks and institutional procedures quickly and apply them accurately.

• Exceptional attention to detail, takes pride in the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all outputs.

• Highly organised with strong time management skills able to prioritise tasks effectively and meet operational deadlines reliably.

• Trustworthy and discreet, exercises sound professional judgement in handling sensitive and confidential student information.

• Collaborative and reliable, contributes reliably to team operations and supports colleagues across the department.

• Resilient and composed under pressure, maintains accuracy and professionalism during high-volume administrative periods.

• Committed to continuous learning and professional growth within the field of academic administration.
