Business Development Manager – Centre for English Language Learning (CELL)
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving student recruitment, building strong relationships with schools, parents, and corporate partners, and meeting enrollment targets for the English Learning Centre. This role requires a dynamic individual with proven sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual enrolment targets.
- Identify and engage potential students, parents, schools, and corporate clients.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with partner schools, language agencies, and organizations.
- Conduct presentations, school visits, and open days to promote the CELL.
- Proactively follow up on inquiries, leads, and referrals to ensure conversion into enrollments.
2. Marketing & Promotion
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to design campaigns, promotional activities, and events to attract students.
- Represent the CELL at education fairs, community events, and corporate networking sessions.
- Provide input for marketing materials, digital campaigns, and social media content.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the student recruitment and admissions process.
- Oversee the admissions pipeline and ensure timely, accurate follow-up with applicants.
- Address student/parent queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance and market trends.
- Prepare regular reports for management on progress against targets and competitor activity.
- Recommend improvements based on data and customer feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, preferably in education, training, or services.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office.
- Target-driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
