Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Senior Manager General FP&A, EM Central, is a key strategic finance leader responsible for driving financial planning, performance management, and decision support for the EM Central organization. The role serves as the primary finance business partner to the EMC BD and HR leadership, ensuring high‑quality, insightful, and forward‑looking financial analysis that supports strategic priorities, growth, and profitability. The role also serves as key partner to the EMC Finance leadership to ensure orchestration across all parts of Commercial Finance and Accounting during planning and month end closing cycles as well as key point of contact with EM Finance Hub
Key Responsibilities
The role ensures the strategic, disciplined, and efficient use of financial resources through robust planning, transparent performance analysis, and proactive decision support, while maintaining strong internal controls.
- Lead, coach, and develop the General FP&A team fostering a high‑performance and insight‑driven finance organization.
- Own and steer the end‑to‑end forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to HR, BD and Finance Senior Management, providing timely, high‑quality standard reporting and deep‑dive ad‑hoc analysis to support key decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and simplification of business controlling processes, tools, and reporting frameworks.
- Partner closely with DTC FP&A , Wholesale FP&A and DP cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient financial processes and analytical tools.
- Lead and sponsor financial initiatives, ensuring financial KPIs are clearly translated into actionable business targets.
- Provide forward‑looking insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
- Lead and/or sponsor cross‑functional projects and transformation initiatives impacting financial performance.
- Design and deliver executive‑level communication packages, clearly articulating results, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Stay current with developments and best practices in FP&A, controlling, and analytics.
- Oversee and support monthly closing activities in line with adidas Group standards and policies.
- Act as a key backup for senior finance colleagues, ensuring continuity and resilience within the finance organization.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, or related field.
- Extensive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or Business Controlling.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAP experience strongly preferred.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, controlling, or a similar financial leadership role.
