Job Purpose

The Financier at Coventry University Kazakhstan is responsible for ensuring the financial health, stability, and operational efficiency of the university. This role oversees budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting while maintaining data integrity within 1C Enterprise. By conducting variance and trend analyses, controlling costs, and maintaining regulatory compliance, the Financier delivers actionable financial insights and models to support management in strategic decision-making and sustainable institutional growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and control the annual budget and rolling quarterly forecasts.

2. Manage daily cash flow operations and create cash flow forecasts.

3. Extract and analyze financial data from 1C Enterprise to identify key trends and risks.

4. Oversee financial transactions and data accuracy within the 1C accounting system.

5. Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis and report discrepancies to management.

6. Optimize working capital by managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.

7. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations in English.

8. Monitor cost control measures and ensure departmental budget compliance.

9. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, local regulations, and accounting standards.

10. Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and profitability analysis.
