Senior Audit Associate

BDO Uzbekistan is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Audit Associate to join our Audit team.

In this role, you will coordinate audit assignments, supervise junior colleagues and contribute to the delivery of high-quality audit services in accordance with IFRS and applicable auditing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and performing audit procedures in accordance with relevant auditing and accounting standards;
• Performing risk assessments and developing appropriate audit procedures in response to identified risks;
• Leading audit sections and coordinating the work of junior team members;
• Reviewing audit working papers and ensuring that audit documentation is complete, accurate and of appropriate quality;
• Identifying and evaluating risks of material misstatement and contributing to the development of appropriate audit conclusions;
• Performing audits of financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards;
• Communicating with clients on audit matters, including requesting information, discussing findings and resolving audit issues;
• Monitoring audit progress and ensuring that assigned work is completed within agreed timelines;
• Coaching and providing guidance to junior team members;
• Ensuring compliance with professional standards, firm methodologies, ethical requirements and internal quality procedures.

• Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or a related field;
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in audit, preferably with a Big Four or other international audit firm;
• Good knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards;
• Practical experience in performing financial statement audits and risk assessments;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team;
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members will be an advantage;
• Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian (reading, writing and speaking).
