About us

IELTS Mentor AI is an AI-powered IELTS Speaking preparation app (iOS & Android) helping learners across Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and beyond hit their target band score. Our AI examiner scores all four IELTS criteria, detects recurring "fossilized" errors, and builds a personalized study plan. We're a small, fast-moving team, and we make decisions with data - not guesswork.

This is our first app, but not our last. We're building a portfolio, and the person who owns growth now is positioned to lead it as we scale. This role has real room to grow.

The role

We're looking for someone who can drive app downloads and paid conversions at the lowest possible cost. You'll own user acquisition from creative to conversion: launching campaigns, testing hooks, reading the funnel, and doubling down on what works. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves squeezing maximum results out of a lean budget - and who wants to grow with the company as we launch more products.

Important: This is an early-stage startup with a deliberately tight marketing budget. Your job is to make every dollar work harder than anyone thinks possible. If you're energized by that challenge, you'll thrive here. If you need a big ad spend to be effective, this isn't the role for you.

What you'll do

• Plan and run paid campaigns on Meta Ads and Apple Search Ads, optimizing for cost-per-result, not vanity metrics
• Set up and read the full funnel: install → registration → trial → paid, and find where users drop off
• Test ad creatives systematically (hooks, formats, angles) and scale proven winners
• Build organic growth alongside paid short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), creator partnerships, and community channels (Telegram, Instagram, Facebook groups)
• Work with our on-camera instructor to produce high-performing content
• Track everything: CPI, registration cost, trial-start rate, trial-to-paid conversion, ROAS
• Recommend market priorities and budget allocation based on real performance data

You're a strong fit if you have

• Hands-on experience promoting mobile apps and driving installs + in-app purchases
• Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and Apple Search Ads (campaign structure, optimization events, learning phase, audience targeting)
• Understanding of mobile attribution and analytics (RevenueCat, Meta Events Manager, App Store Connect, or similar)
• A grasp of App Store Optimization (ASO): keywords, screenshots, conversion rate
• An eye for what makes a scroll-stopping ad and the discipline to test rather than assume
• A data-first mindset: you make decisions from numbers, set clear kill/scale criteria, and don't pivot on a hunch
• Resourcefulness: you've done a lot with a little before

Bonus points for

• Experience marketing apps in emerging markets (Central Asia, Southeast Asia, GCC)
• Familiarity with content production tools (CapCut, AI video/voiceover tools)
• EdTech or language-learning app experience
• Knowledge of mobile payment rails and localization for non-Western markets
• Comfort writing or directing short-form video creative

Compensation

Base salary + performance commission. You earn a stable base, plus commission tied directly to the results you drive downloads and sales. The better you perform, the more you make. We've built it this way on purpose: when you win, we win.
