Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Operations Supervisor / Operations Manager to oversee daily transportation operations and ensure efficient coordination between dispatch, safety, recruiting, fleet, and accounting departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational performance, improving processes, supporting team members, and ensuring company goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day trucking operations and ensure smooth workflow across all departments.

Monitor operational KPIs and ensure company performance targets are met.

Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.

Develop and improve internal processes, SOPs, and workflow efficiency.

Ensure timely communication between departments.
Team Leadership

Supervise dispatchers, safety specialists, recruiters, and other operational staff.

Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
-
Provide coaching, training, and support to employees.
-
Monitor employee productivity and accountability.
-
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of team members.
Fleet & Dispatch Oversight

Monitor fleet utilization and operational efficiency.
-
Ensure loads are assigned effectively and customer requirements are met.
-
Support dispatch team in resolving service failures and escalations.
-
Track operational metrics including on-time delivery, deadhead miles, and driver performance.
Safety & Compliance

Work closely with the Safety Department to ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
-
Monitor safety performance and assist in implementing corrective action plans.

Support accident investigations and driver performance management.
-
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
Customer Service & Business Support

Maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and business partners.

Resolve operational issues and customer concerns promptly.
-
Support business growth initiatives and process improvements.
Reporting & Analysis

Prepare operational reports and performance summaries.
-
Analyze operational data and recommend improvements.
-
Track department KPIs and provide updates to senior management.
Qualifications
Required
-
3+ years of experience in trucking, logistics, transportation, or fleet operations.

Experience managing or supervising teams.
-
Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills in English.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
Preferred

Experience with Samsara, Motive, Geotab, or similar fleet management systems.

Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Experience in dispatch, safety, recruiting, or fleet management.

Previous experience in a U.S.-based trucking company.
