We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to recently opened new retail company in Kyrgyzstan.

This is a full-time, on-the-ground role based in Bishkek.

Required Qualifications:

  • High education in IT field,
  • 5 years' experience as It Specialist, Service desk, Help Desk,
  • English (working proficiency),
  • Preferred work experience in Retail, Hotel & Restaurant Industry
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • An incoming request (from an end user for failures and services) is automatically assigned by the help desk software to the respective operator. Corrects the assignment if it is wrong or the work distribution is not balanced for the operator,
  • Initiates the research and determination processes to provide a solution for the event; tests and solves the event and enters it as solved in the program.
  • Requests escalation (forwarding the event to another operator for solution) in case of failure to solve the event.
  • Initiates the research and determination processes to provide a solution for the event; informs the requestor through the program if there is a different situation during the solution phase (if a purchase order, service support, outsourcing is awaited).
  • Creates a change request (a software or hardware change) for the event if it is found out that a change is needed to classify or solve the incoming request from an end user.
  • Finds the root cause of the incoming request; enters the problem records to the program and assigns the respective operator.
  • Initiates the research and determination processes to provide a solution for the problem; tests and solves the problem; enters it as solved in the program and request for external support for the solution if necessary.
  • Determines and requests a need for change during the solution phase for the management of the Events and Problems.
  • Performs and carries out such efforts and tests necessary for the application of an approved need for change; coordinates and applies the change; informs the requestor accordingly and follows up the process to ensure that the change is seamlessly implemented.
  • Identifies the respective equipment according to the equipment list determined at the beginning of the year in line with the requests received (new projects, additional personal and equipment replacements) and submits it for approval.
  • Opens up a request to the purchasing department after the approval has been obtained for supply.
  • Checks the conformity of the equipment supplied with the equipment ordered; receives and stores them.
  • Ensures that the equipment is distributed, installed and, issues debit tickets to end users for such equipment personally used.
  • Performs security updates and routine checks.
  • Defines the cards in line with the respective requests (meal cards, credit sales, personnel identification cards, cash user cards); prepares the same and delivers them to the respective departments;
  • Attempts to solve such problems that may occur in software programs, operating systems, computers, POS/Kiosk computers, menu boards, mobile devices, access points, printers and peripheral unites used by end users;
  • Ensures that SQL Express databases in POS computers are safely and robustly functioning;
  • Performs such procedures within the scope of his/her authority in connection with the telephone switchboard software (e.g. new subscriber definition, authorization, deletion, replacement etc.);
  • Ensures that meal cards are entered to the system; receives the meal cards sales information at such periods as requested and, reports the same to the requestor. Ensures that meal cards are printed for such companies using such cards and; informs the respective departments. Checks the process of maintenance and operations of card printing machines;
  • Ensures that the closed-circuitrcuit camera system properly functions. Receives support from the respective company in case of problems or additional requests.
