Manager/Specialist of ESG

About the Role

The Manager/specialist of ESG and Sustainability Solutions will be responsible for the development and growth of the sustainability practice at Andersen Uzbekistan. He shall also be responsible for the overall client deliverables, as well as for grooming the team. This role requires a visionary leader who can translate global sustainability challenges into actionable frameworks, innovative solutions, and measurable business value for clients. The individual will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to corporate leaders and act as a catalyst for driving sustainable transformation and long-term resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction in the development and execution of ESG and sustainability consulting frameworks, tailoring solutions to unique client needs across global markets and industry sectors.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to Boards, C-Suite executives, and senior stakeholders, delivering actionable insights on ESG integration, sustainability transformation, climate risk management and social impact.
• Influence and guide organizations in embedding sustainability principles into corporate strategy, risk management and value creation models.
• Oversee the design and delivery of comprehensive ESG solutions including risk assessments, sustainability and integrated reporting, double materiality analyses, climate strategy and net-zero roadmaps, social equity and inclusion programs, and governance enhancements.
• Stay ahead of evolving ESG regulations, disclosure standards, and global frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, CSRD) to ensure client alignment, compliance, and competitive positioning.
• Drive the expansion and growth of the ESG & Sustainability practice through business development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
• Lead the preparation of high-impact proposals, pitch presentations, and thought leadership publications to position the firm as a market leader in ESG/sustainability advisory and assurance services.
• Cultivate and manage a portfolio of high-value client relationships, delivering sustained impact through strategic ESG and sustainability insights.
• Mentor, inspire and lead a team of consultants and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Set performance standards, encourage innovation, and support professional development to build a high-performing ESG consulting function.
• Drive innovation by conceptualizing and launching new service offerings, tools, and frameworks that advance sustainability, climate resilience, and circular economy goals.
• Actively contribute to industry dialogues, conferences, and knowledge-sharing forums to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
• Position the organization at the forefront of global ESG and sustainability discourse.

Qualification and Experience

• Completion of Under-graduation in Sustainability, Environmental Science or Engineering. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in the field of sustainability, with approximately 7 to 8 years in sustainability consulting.
• Proven track record of leading ESG strategy projects for multinational organizations, financial institutions, or public sector bodies.
• Strong knowledge of global ESG frameworks, disclosure standards, and regulatory requirements.
