Audit Associate

BDO Uzbekistan is looking for an Audit Associate to join its Audit & Assurance team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible professional with a sound understanding of accounting principles and International Standards on Auditing, strong data analysis skills, and a genuine interest in developing a career in audit.

Key responsibilities:

• Gain an understanding of clients’ businesses and gather the information required for audit engagements;
• Assist the Senior Associate in identifying and assessing audit risks;
• Obtain and analyse audit evidence;
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers in accordance with the Company Audit Manual;
• Perform administrative tasks related to audit engagements in accordance with internal procedures;
• Coordinate and review selected tasks performed by interns;
• Comply with professional ethics requirements, internal policies, and the BDO competency matrix;
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Senior Associate or Manager;
• Provide regular updates and report on work completed.

Candidate requirements:

• A university degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Between 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience;
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles;
• Basic knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA);
• Understanding of the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants;
• Good command of written and spoken English, sufficient for professional communication;
• Strong MS Excel skills;
• Completion of ACCA Applied Knowledge level or current progress towards an ACCA qualification would be an advantage.
