Annexure is actively looking for a Deputy Director to join our growing leadership team in Uzbekistan.

We are seeking a Deputy Director to join our team in Uzbekistan and play a key leadership role in driving strategic growth and delivering complex investment and infrastructure projects across local and international markets.

In this position, you will contribute directly to shaping and implementing the company’s development strategy while supporting executive decision-making and cross-border coordination.

Key responsibilities:

• Strategic management & business development

Leading strategy execution in Uzbekistan and international markets, identifying new opportunities, and attracting clients and projects, including those involving IFIs

• Project management oversight

Supervising investment and infrastructure project delivery, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, quality standards, and regulatory/IFI requirements

• Organizational development & efficiency

Improving internal policies, procedures, governance, and operational performance across the organization

• HR & team leadership

Participating in recruitment, evaluation, and development of key experts; building strong multidisciplinary local and international teams; mentoring talent

• Stakeholder & client engagement

Managing long-term relationships with clients, partners, government bodies, and international organizations; representing the company in key meetings and negotiations

• Reporting & coordination

Providing regular reporting to the Country Director and global leadership; coordinating with regional and international offices; preparing analytical and management insights

We are looking for a strong, hands-on leader with strategic thinking, project management expertise, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced international environment.

Who we are looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in consulting, public sector, or international projects
• Strong background working with IFIs
• Fluent in Uzbek, Russian, and English
• Proven leadership, negotiation, and team management skills
• Results-oriented, strategic thinker with high emotional intelligence
• Experience in government structures and in consulting companies working with ACWA Power and water management will be an advantage.
