About the role:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the university is responsible for the effective management of the accounting / financial functions of the Company. As this position plays an essential role in the success of the business, we are in search of an experienced CFO with strong analytical skills and accounting expertise to ensure the company's long-term financial health and growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare management reports, annual budgets, business plans and financial forecasts for the Supervisory Board and management, including Profit & Loss Statement (P&L), Capital expenditures (CapEx), Cash flow statements and others;
• Control and oversee contracts from financial perspective as well as taxation, accounting, banking matters and financial interactions with relevant government authorities and other external stakeholders;
• Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position, liquidity and cash flow, proactively identifying financial risks and taking appropriate measures to prevent potential issues;
• Implement cost optimization initiatives to improve financial and operational efficiency of the Company
• Coordinate the preparation of financial information required for annual asset valuation, annual audits and other financial assessments
• Manage accounts receivable, including timely collection of tuition fees and other receivables
• Oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance with approved budgets and policies
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to develop the University’s strategy, annual budget and long-term financial plans
• Set performance targets for and supervise all finance and accounting personnel
• Improve and strengthen Company's internal controls over financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with financial, accounting, tax and regulatory requirements

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Finance Director or similar senior financial management role
• In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, national accounting standards, IFRS, taxation, laws and best practices
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent organizational, leadership and team-management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another relevant field;
• Master’s degree is an advantage
• ACCA, DipIFR, CFA, CPA or other relevant professional qualifications are an advantage
• Strong command of Uzbek, Russian and English languages
