Haileybury Astana is currently seeking a dedicated Junior School Receptionist.

Type of contract: Temporary (Maternity Leave Cover)

Start date: Beginning of August 2026

Main Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors, parents, pupils, and staff in a warm and professional manner.
  • Handle enquiries in person, by phone, and via email, directing them to the appropriate member of staff when required.
  • Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, and take accurate messages, ensuring urgent information is communicated promptly and confidentially.
  • Maintain accurate Junior School pupil attendance records, including registers for pupils arriving or leaving outside normal registration times, and update SIMS accordingly.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support by maintaining records, databases, and other school information systems.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents and pupils in the absence of the Junior School Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Copy, scan, and prepare confidential and non-confidential documents.
  • Carry out any other administrative duties assigned by the Junior School SLT or other designated managers.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years work experience in the relevant sphere is eligible to be appointed to the position of Junior School Receptionist
  • Completed university degree in any relevant field
  • Proficiency in English, Kazakh, Russian
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of school administrative procedures and operations is an advantage.
