Role Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for production materials supporting LKZ plant operations
- Ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement aligned with locomotive assembly schedules
- Collaborate with suppliers to confirm order accuracy, delivery timelines, and compliance with technical specifications and Wabtec policies
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted production
- Coordinate with internal Wabtec teams to align procurement plans with operational needs
- Track, analyze, and report procurement KPIs, including cost savings, delivery performance, and supplier quality
- Support resolution of supply chain disruptions and escalate issues as required
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within ERP systems
- Assist in supplier evaluation, onboarding, and ongoing performance reviews
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, or related roles
- Fluent English skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
