Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Specialist to ensure the health and safety of our employees, monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and promote a strong safety culture across the company.

This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating workplace risks, preventing occupational accidents, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local legislation and company standards.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor and audit working conditions to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents and workplace accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver OHS training sessions and raise employee awareness of health and safety practices.
• Maintain and update OHS documentation, including inspection records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Organize and coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including emergency drills.
• Cooperate with management and employees to strengthen the company's safety culture.
• Monitor changes in OHS legislation and internal company standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English and/or Turkish, including business correspondence and communication with the Head Office in Türkiye.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar Occupational Health & Safety role.
• Higher education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, or a higher education degree combined with a recognized professional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation, fire safety regulations, and environmental protection requirements.
• Experience in developing OHS, fire safety, and environmental protection documentation.
• Experience in organizing workplace risk assessments, mandatory medical examinations, and other statutory OHS activities.
• Experience in managing inspections conducted by government regulatory authorities.
• Experience in investigating workplace accidents and incidents.
• Willingness to travel on business trips.
