The Own Retail Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the CE strategy for Own Retail channel, building further on the overall multi-category CE strategy. This role requires close collaboration with the Consumer Engagement and Brand Marketing teams to ensure the alignment and development of innovative strategies that drive consumer engagement, visibility, and growth in the channel. The manager ensures all activation activities are executed within the framework of JTI’s broader brand strategy and sales cycles, while continuously seeking new methods to enhance consumer reach.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Consumer Engagement (CE) strategy for Own Retail channel in line with overall brand and corporate objectives.
- Ensure consistent brand activation and messaging across Own Retail touchpoints; drive innovative initiatives to enhance visibility and consumer engagement within regulatory boundaries.
- Lead negotiations and partnerships within Own Retail, ensuring optimal ROI and alignment with sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong partner relationships; guide team on best-practice negotiation standards.
- Manage Own Retail CE budget (premises, POSM, activations), ensuring efficient allocation and ROI maximization.
- Partner with Procurement to ensure compliant and commercially sound contracts.
- Ensure channel standards execution and compliance via audits, field visits, and governance controls.
- Maintain control frameworks with Control & Effectiveness function; lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the Own Retail CE team: set KPIs, monitor performance, coach and build capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Consumer Engagement, Merchandising, Brand Marketing, Sales) to ensure aligned activation and execution across channels.
- Ensure adherence to JTI policies, procedures, quality and H&S standards.
Requirements:
- University degree (preferably economic or marketing)
- A minimum of three years of experience in the HoReCa, Marketing & Sales, Consumer promotions, or Events.
- People management skills, teamwork skills
- Good skills and knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint
- English - minimum C1
- Valid driving license (category B).
