Head of Accounting Part

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including but not limited to financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance etc.
• Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for the organization
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Coordinate audits by external auditors and provide necessary information and support
• Serve as a business partner to other departments within the organization, providing financial analysis and decision-support as needed
• Stay abreast of changes in IFRS, Uzbek National GAAP and tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance Manage special projects as assigned by senior management
• Develop necessary accounting procedures and policies
• Manage and execute monthly/yearly financial closing
• Insure that the Company’s tax accounting and tax registers are correct and are in line with the legislation of Republic of Uzbekistan and the Company’s internal policies and methodology;
• Insure correctness of representation of information in the Company’s tax returns and tax registers (CIT, VAT and other taxes);
• Responsible for process of submission of tax returns and other tax reporting in accordance with the legislation of Republic of Uzbekistan, including control over acceptance of the returns and reporting;
• Responsible for communication with the tax authorities, including collection, preparation and review of the Company’s responses to the official letters and requests from the tax authorities, including requests made within tax audits (desk and field tax audits);
• Responsible for development and implementation of the Company’s tax policies and methodologies;
• Manage accounting team: review R&Rs of team members, accomplish the organization with required number of professionals, set targets and evaluate subordinate employees, control and coordinate team execution, enhance professional level of the subordinates.

Requirements:

• Higher education (Bachelor/Master degree) in accounting, finance, or related field;
• 7+ years of experience in an accounting, at least 4 years’ experience as Chief Accountant/Head of Accounting Team (not less than 3 direct subordinates);
• Proficiency in MS office (mainly Excel), working experience with SAP is an advantage
• Working knowledge of IFRS, Uzbek National GAAP;
• Strong understanding of tax compliance regulations Tax and Customs code;
• Experience in documentary framework for Import/ Export transactions;
• ACCA/ CPA designation preferred (advanced progress counts);
• Preferable (not mandatory) experience working in a professional accounting firm;
• Good command of both verbal and written English (Upper Intermediate), Uzbek and Russian.
