Your Mission
As a Product Manager at Stape, your mission is to turn complex business, compliance, and customer needs into shipped product — owning requirements, leading delivery, and ensuring every release works reliably in global, regulated markets.
This is a delivery-first role with strong ownership across discovery, business requirements, execution, and outcomes.
Product Delivery & Execution (Primary Focus)
Own end-to-end delivery from idea to production
Define clear business and functional requirements for engineering
Translate regulatory, operational, and customer needs into executable scopes
Prioritize backlog, plan sprints, and ensure predictable delivery
Make trade-offs between speed, compliance, and technical quality
Product Leadership (Development Team)
Act as product lead for the development team
Set clear priorities, goals, and success metrics
Unblock decisions and keep delivery moving
Partner with tech leads to balance product goals and technical constraints
Discovery & Product Thinking
Work directly with customers (HR, Founders, CFOs, Ops) to understand problems
Validate solutions using feedback and data
Use product analytics and funnel metrics to improve conversion and activation
Turn complex global payroll requirements into intuitive experiences
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Success
Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, and trade-offs
Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly
Product Quality & Trust
Own usability, reliability, and trust in financial and HR flows
Ensure compliance, auditability, and correctness across regions
Anticipate edge cases and failure scenarios
Must-Have
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS
Proven experience developing business and functional requirements for engineering teams
Track record of leading development teams through delivery, not just roadmap definition
Strong execution mindset with ability to drive initiatives to completion
Experience working with distributed teams
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Big Plus
Experience with global payroll, workforce management, or compliance-heavy platforms
Exposure to tax, labor law, KYC/KYB, and payment regulations
Startup or scale-up experience
Familiarity with multi-currency and cross-border payout systems
Build a global HRTech + FinTech platform with real-world complexity
High ownership over product direction and delivery
Direct collaboration with founders, customers, and engineering
