Payroll Associate Manager

ACWA Power is a developer, investor, co-owner and operator of a portfolio of power generation and desalinated water production plants with a presence in 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Central and South-East Asia.

We are looking for Payroll Associate Manager to join our growing team in Uzbekistan!

In this role, you’ll lead the full payroll cycle — ensuring timely and accurate compensation, compliance with local legislation, and seamless coordination with Finance and HR teams. You’ll also drive automation and process improvements that strengthen our payroll and reporting systems.

As a Payroll Associate Manager, you will:

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process and ensure compliance with tax and labor laws.
• Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, and integration with financial systems.
• Partner with Finance and HR to align payroll operations with business goals.
• Collaborate with external payroll vendors and ensure data accuracy.
• Drive process automation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide analytics on headcount, taxes, and budget alignment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• 8–10 years of payroll management experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Uzbek labor, tax, and social legislation.
• Hands-on experience with payroll and HR systems (1C, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, Russian, and Uzbek.
