Senior Associate - FMCG

SALUS LEGAL IS SEEKING A TOP-LEVEL SENIOR ASSOCIATE

To work with leading international FMCG companies.

SALUS LEGAL, one of Kazakhstan’s premier law firms, is looking for a strong, experienced Senior Associate to join our team.

We advise major players in the FMCG market, international corporations, and global investors. Our client is an industry leader, and we are seeking not just a lawyer, but a strategic partner capable of delivering the highest level of legal support in complex, large-scale, and fast-evolving environments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key legal advisor to major domestic and international companies.
• Analyze legal risks, develop strategic solutions, and draft comprehensive legal opinions.
• Provide full-scope legal support to companies in the FMCG sector.
• Advise clients on corporate, contract, employment, data protection, digital law, and ADGM/IFC (Astana International Financial Centre) regulations.
• Support M&A transactions, restructurings, and corporate reorganizations.
• Represent clients before government authorities and lead negotiations.
• Participate in due diligence projects.
• Translate and adapt legal documents into English, Russian, and Kazakh (at C1 level or higher).
• Generate legal insights: publish analytical content (6+ articles per year) and contribute to the firm’s reputation as a thought leader.
• Contribute to the development of innovative legal products, enhance competitiveness, and support expansion into international markets.

Who You Are:

• Holder of a law degree from a leading university in Kazakhstan.
• Demonstrated experience in the FMCG sector.
• Expertise in contract law, regulatory compliance, corporate law, M&A, employment law, and compliance frameworks.
• LL.M. from a top-tier foreign university is an advantage (especially in international business law).
• Experience at international law or consulting firms (Tier 1 / Tier 2) is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English and Kazakh (written and spoken, C1 or higher); proficiency in Russian is required.
• Proficient in MS Office and legal databases.
