Revenue Specialist

Netcracker is in search of a Revenue Accountant, reporting to a Revenue Supervisor, who has a strong attention to detail and is eager to learn. This individual should understand the revenue recognition guidance (ASC Topic 606/IFRS 15) and be able to successfully apply this guidance in a fast-paced corporate environment.

The Revenue Accounting department is responsible for reviewing customer contracts for proper revenue accounting treatment, making recommendations on revenue recognition strategies, determining treatment of multi-element deliverables and general accounting functions such as journal entries, month-end close, revenue allocations and quarterly/annual audits.

Responsibilities:

• Review and document complex, multi-element sales contracts to support compliance with ASC Topic 606/IFRS 15
• Provide revenue guidance to various departments (i.e. Legal, Sales, and Project Teams) on any revenue risks identified during contract review
• Responsible for month end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and month end reconciliations
• Monitor monthly committed revenue forecast and identify any risks or variances to be reported to management
• Active collaboration with cross functional groups in Finance department as well as Sales and Project Management to ensure accurate interpretation of the project and drive best practices in revenue
• Enhance and document policies, procedures and controls
• Review & monitor balance sheet accounts related to revenue
• Establish strong relationships in highly collaborative environment
• Assist with annual audit led by Big 4 and respond to external audit queries to ensure auditors receive required information in an accurate and timely manner
• Support the Revenue Accounting team with special projects, such as improving internal ERP system used to book and record revenue transactions

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting
• ACCA preferred; Master's Degree highly valued
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Experience in Big 4 company will be a plus
• Experience with US GAAP & IFRS revenue recognition and contract structuring, particularly in the technology or software industry
• Strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently and within tight deadlines
• Takes initiative and ownership over responsibilities
• Ability to think strategically and have a keen attention to detail
• Strong English verbal and communication skills with experience working cross-functionally within the company & across different time zones
