The Lasselsberger Group is an Austrian international holding company and a leading player in the European construction materials market. The Group’s production facilities are located in 13 countries across three continents, including Eastern Europe, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, and Australia.

A key position—Head of Legal & Compliance—is open at our new, modern production facility in Samarkand.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support to the company’s operations in compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the internal corporate policies of the international group.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts, including supply, procurement, service, lease, construction, logistics, and international trade agreements.
• Advise management and employees on matters related to civil, labor, corporate, tax, antitrust, and administrative law.
• Monitor legislative changes in Uzbekistan, assess their impact on the business, and provide practical recommendations.
• Participate in the development and updating of internal policies, procedures, regulations, and other corporate documents.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, compliance programs, anti-corruption legislation, and ethical standards of the group.
• Provide legal support on employment matters, including employment contracts, HR documentation, and labor law compliance.
• Liaise with governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters.
• Represent the company’s interests before courts, government authorities, counterparties, and other third parties; manage claims and litigation processes.
• Support licensing, registration, certification, and permitting procedures when required.
• Conduct legal due diligence of counterparties, identify legal risks, and develop risk mitigation measures.
• Provide corporate legal support, including preparation of resolutions, powers of attorney, and corporate governance documentation.
• Support company projects, including those involving international partners and other group entities.
• Maintain legal records, contract databases, and monitor contractual obligations and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel, Corporate Lawyer, or similar legal role.
• Proven experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal matters.
• Experience interacting with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Previous experience in an international company, foreign representative office, or a large local organization (n manufacturing, construction, or FMCG sectors).
• Strong knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including civil, labor, corporate, administrative, and commercial law.
• Practical experience in contract management and dispute resolution.
• Understanding of corporate governance principles and compliance requirements.

• Full-time employment with a five-day work week (Monday to Friday).
