Senior Manager, Division Data Management and Reporting Division Information Technology Department

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Head of Data Management and Reporting Division is responsible for managing the Bank’s enterprise reporting and data management function,
ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of regulatory, financial, and management reporting, as well as reliable operation of data integration and reporting platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the Data Management and Reporting Division within the IT Department;
• Define and execute operational direction for enterprise reporting and data management activities;
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of regulatory, management, and operational reporting;
• Oversee regulatory reporting processes, including NBRK regulatory reporting;
• Manage end-to-end data integration processes between core banking systems, Data Warehouse, and reporting platforms;
• Ensure data quality, consistency, completeness, and integrity across reporting systems;
• Oversee ETL processes and data flows supporting reporting and analytics;
• Coordinate development and implementation of BI solutions, including Power BI dashboards and reporting layers;
• Act as key IT interface with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Business units on reporting and data matters;
• Review and validate business and technical requirements for reporting solutions;
• Support evolution of data architecture and reporting platforms;
• Manage team performance, structure, and resource allocation;
• Develop team capabilities and ensure effective knowledge management;
• Manage vendors and external service providers where applicable;
• Oversee incident resolution related to reporting systems and data flows;

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
• Higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related field;

Experience:
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT, data management, reporting, or data analytics within banking or financial institutions;
• At least 2–3 years of managerial or team leadership experience;
• Strong experience in regulatory reporting processes, including NBRK regulatory reporting;

Technical Skills:
• Strong SQL skills (T-SQL and/or PL/SQL);
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration;
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and data modeling;
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred);
• Understanding of Data Governance Framework principles is an advantage;

• Experience with SAP products, Sybase databases, ETL tools, and DWH solutions is an advantage;

Domain Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of banking products (loans, deposits, payment cards, etc.);
• Knowledge of banking regulatory requirements in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Soft Skills:
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment;
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• English – Intermediate level or higher;
