About the Position
The Teaching Assistant will be assigned to a specific class or grade level and will work closely with the Homeroom Teacher to support classroom learning, student supervision, and daily routines.
The successful candidate will help create a safe, inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young learners aged approximately 5–8.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom & Learning Support
- Assist the Homeroom Teacher with daily lessons, activities, and classroom routines.
- Provide individual or small-group support to students when required.
- Help organize learning centers, classroom materials, and educational resources.
- Support students in completing classroom activities and developing positive learning habits.
Student Supervision & Well-being
- Supervise students during lessons, transitions, breaks, lunch, and other school activities.
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic well-being.
- Encourage positive behavior and respectful interactions.
- Provide appropriate support to individual student needs.
- Help maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment.
Classroom & Administrative Support
- Prepare classroom materials, displays, and resources.
- Assist with classroom organization and record-keeping.
- Support teachers with assessment preparation and documentation.
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming learning environment.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with and follow the guidance of the assigned Homeroom Teacher.
- Communicate relevant observations regarding students' progress, behavior, or needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions as required.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with colleagues.
Professional Responsibilities
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Canadian School of Tashkent.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and school matters.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Participate actively in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma is required.
- Post-secondary education in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children aged 5–8 is preferred.
- Experience in a school, kindergarten, childcare center, tutoring environment, or similar setting is an advantage.

- Official employment in accordance with the labor legislation of Uzbekistan.
- Competitive and timely salary payments:
- Advance payment: 20th of each month
- Main salary payment: 5th of the following month
