Social Specialist

Juru is looking for an entry level Social Specialist.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in implementation of ongoing projects;
• Assisting in arranging site visits for performing social surveys and assisting in conducting surveys and interviews;
• Preparation of summary reports on the key findings and results of conducted activities/surveys under supervision;
• Preparing maps in GIS format;
• Collect secondary data for preparation of ESIA/EIA and LRP reports;
• Assist in coordination of experts’ activities within ongoing E&S assignments;
• Assist in preparation of reports for ESIA/EIA and LRP;
• Assist in conducting consultations with relevant stakeholders for ongoing/planned projects;
• Stay up to date with local and international environmental and social policy and regulatory framework;
• Assist with ad-hoc duties of the team, as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field;
• 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong work ethic and prepared to go extra distance to get the job done;
• Excellent command of English, Uzbek and Russian;
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office;
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
