Coating & Lowering Supervisor

Location: Site Based (Project locations: Beineu/Bozoi/Kyzylorda/Turkistan)

Project: Pipeline Construction Project

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily field activities related to pipeline coating, field joint coating, coating repair, and pipeline lowering operations.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of works in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and HSE requirements.

• Verify readiness of work fronts, including permits, materials, equipment, qualified personnel, and supporting construction activities.

• Coordinate interfaces between welding, NDT, coating, earthworks, lowering, backfilling, QA/QC, HSE, Engineering, and Planning teams.

• Monitor contractor performance, resource utilization, productivity, and compliance with project requirements.

• Track progress and support look-ahead planning, recovery actions, and schedule achievement.

• Participate in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and field inspections.

• Monitor coating quality, surface preparation, holiday testing, coating repairs, and readiness for lowering operations.

• Support inspections, NCR closure, punch list management, and handover documentation.

• Prepare daily and weekly reports on progress, risks, constraints, and field activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pipeline Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Coating Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas construction projects, including pipeline construction.

• Proven experience in pipeline coating, field joint coating, coating repair, and pipeline lowering activities.

• Strong background in construction supervision, contractor management, and field coordination.

• Knowledge of coating inspection requirements, holiday testing, surface preparation, DFT measurements, and quality documentation.

• Experience with Method Statements, ITPs, NCR/CAPA processes, and handover documentation.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, construction work packs, and project specifications.

• Good knowledge of HSE requirements for lifting operations, trench activities, and pipeline construction.

• Experience on large EPC and international pipeline projects is highly preferred.

• English language skills are an advantage.
