Role Purpose
The Public Affairs Executive will be responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with government authorities, ensuring smooth regulatory and protecting the company’s reputation.
The role also covers internal and external communications, CSR initiatives, and crisis communications management to support sustainable business operations and positive stakeholder engagement.
What We Expect (Key Responsibilities)
Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Akimats, ministries, and other government authorities
- Coordinate permits, approvals, and regulatory communications
- Represent the company in meetings with public authorities and external stakeholders
- Facilitate cooperation on infrastructure and investment projects
- Monitor and analyze the regulatory environment and government activities impacting the business
- Identify regulatory risks and proactively inform management about changes and developments
- Develop and maintain stakeholder maps based on business impact
- Build and manage a database of key government contacts at national and regional levels
- Maintain ongoing interaction with business and industry associations
Internal & External Communications
- Prepare official letters, presentations, and briefing materials
- Develop speeches and key messages for company management
- Build relationships with key speakers, opinion leaders, and partners
- Manage external contractors and communication vendors
- Identify and manage reputational risks
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Participate in CSR projects and initiatives
- Build partnerships with NGOs and community organizations
- Coordinate activities aimed at environmental sustainability and community well-being
- Ensure adoption of best practices and continuous improvement
Crisis Communications
- Ensure compliance with crisis management and incident prevention programs
- Lead communication with stakeholders during crisis situations
- Prepare official statements for media and external communication
- Support customer relations processes during incidents
- Coordinate with The Coca-Cola Company on product-related issues
Qualifications & Skills
- Higher education in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Law, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, communications, or related areas
- Strong understanding of government structures and regulatory processes in Kazakhstan
- Proven experience interacting with government bodies and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Experience in crisis communications and reputation management is an advantage
- Ability to analyze regulatory risks and provide actionable insights
- Strong stakeholder management and networking skills
- Fluency in Russian and English (Kazakh is a strong advantage)
- High level of responsibility
