Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our e-commerce fulfillment warehouse in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This role is responsible for leading the team to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse activities across the entire process from inbound to outbound. The ideal candidate will possess solid warehouse management expertise, excellent leadership skills, and proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Strong English communication skills are essential for supporting cross-border coordination and system operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:

Oversee all daily warehouse operations including receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.

Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and shipment quality.

Manage warehouse layout, space utilization, and equipment to optimize storage and operational efficiency.

Lead and execute cycle counts and annual physical inventories, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Development:

Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate the warehouse team.

Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment to enhance team morale and performance.

Ensure team members are proficient in using WMS, operating equipment, and following safety protocols.

Systems & Data:

Proficiently operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related software to ensure accurate and timely data entry.

Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports (e.g., productivity, accuracy, inventory levels) for management review.

Utilize system data to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements for efficiency and cost optimization.

Compliance, Safety & Maintenance:

Ensure warehouse operations comply with local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Enforce safety policies, conduct regular safety inspections and training to prevent accidents.

Coordinate routine maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment.

Supply Chain Coordination:

Collaborate closely with procurement, sales, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth supply chain flow.

Manage third-party logistics (3PL) service providers (if applicable) to ensure service level agreements are met.

Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:

College diploma or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in e-commerce warehouse or distribution center management, including at least 1 year in a team leadership role.

Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and office software (e.g., MS Excel).

Strong English communication skills for reporting, system navigation, and cross-regional communication.

In-depth understanding of end-to-end e-commerce fulfillment operations with excellent on-site management and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of 6S, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Familiarity with local Kazakh labor, customs, and warehouse regulations is preferred.
