Учитель физкультуры - Physical Education teacher

Almaty International School is looking for a Physical Education Teacher that speaks both Russian and English, and has a degree in teaching PE/sports or fitness. Multiple year experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with school and national standards
• Teach fundamental motor skills (elementary) and sport-specific skills (middle school)
• Promote physical fitness, health awareness, and active lifestyles
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities

Student Development

• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect
• Support students’ social-emotional development through physical activity
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Adapt activities for students with varying physical abilities or special needs

Assessment & Evaluation

• Assess student performance in skills, participation, and fitness levels
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Communicate student achievements and concerns with parents and staff

Classroom & Safety Management

• Ensure a safe environment during all physical activities
• Enforce rules and proper use of equipment
• Manage student behavior effectively in active settings
• Respond appropriately to injuries and emergencies

Program Development & School Involvement

• Organize and support school sports events, tournaments, or activity days
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives
• Maintain and manage PE equipment and facilities
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
