The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Specialist to support the coordination of foreign investment and grant-funded projects, as well as cooperation with international partners and development institutions.
Background
This role contributes to the implementation of large-scale education reforms supported by international partners, including the World Bank and other organizations. The selected candidate will be involved in the preparation, coordination, and implementation of strategic investment projects aimed at improving Uzbekistan’s education system.
The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of government, international organizations, and national reform priorities, contributing to impactful initiatives in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of foreign investment and grant-funded projects in the education sector
- Prepare official correspondence, analytical notes, and project documentation in Uzbek, Russian, and/or English
- Assist in developing project concepts, feasibility studies, and technical documentation in line with national and international requirements
- Liaise with international partners (e.g., World Bank, ADB, KOICA) and ensure effective communication and follow-up
- Coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies on project-related matters
- Support procurement processes, including preparation of Terms of Reference (TORs) and related documents
- Monitor implementation progress and contribute to project reporting
- Participate in meetings, missions, and working groups, including preparation of materials and minutes
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Education, or a related field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (government, international organizations, consulting, or project coordination)
- Experience working with international partners or donor-funded projects is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to draft clear, structured, and professional documents
- Good organizational and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proactive and responsible work attitude
Languages:
- Fluent in Uzbek and Russian
- Good working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
