Senior Officer of Treasury Department

China Construction Bank Corporation Astana Branch is an overseas branch of China Construction Bank Corporation, which is Kazakhstan-and-Central-Asia oriented. The Branch intends to provide banking services and products throughout Kazakhstan as well as Central Asia. The fundamental client base consists of AIFC participants, local Kazakhstan firms, Chinese firms and etc.

Treasury Department is seeking a Senior Officer of Treasury Department.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist Head of Department in implementing the Branch’s treasury plans and strategies, executing transactions independently within the POA assigned;

2. Assist in preparation of documents submitted to Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) and presentation on ALCO meetings;

3. Assist in managing liquidity ratios, to satisfy market risk limits, Head Office and regulatory requirements;

4. Monitor and manage treasury limits of Treasury clients and counterparties, including liaison with Head Office when necessary, carrying out credit analysis and compiling credit applications for Treasury clients and counterparties;

5. Manage and monitor the Branch’s funding positions of all currencies and inter-bank counterparties limits, and make efficient use of funds based on inter-bank counterparties available;

7. Cover FX (spot and forwards) position arising from clients’ trades (banks and corporates);

8. Assist in the management of treasury investment portfolio, as well as compiling annual strategy plan based on Head Office requirements and conducting strategy review and update;

9. Assume responsibilities of a relationship manager, for new client relationship establishment and existing client maintenance, including FX products, client deposits and cross-border business;

10. Comply with local and head office policies, rules and regulations;

11. Implement business continuity strategy and plan for treasury activities when necessary;

12. Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Education and training: Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, banking or related discipline or equivalent education background;

Experience: at least three years work in banks, or in an area relevant to the assigned responsibilities;

Communication skills: fluent English, Chinese is preferred;

Integrity, impartiality, dedication, strong sense of responsibility and perfect team work;

Self-motivated and customer focused.
