About the role
This role does not involve preparation of accounting records, bookkeeping, or tax returns.
Instead, the Global Compliance & Reporting – Transformation Lead creates the value through smarter delivery models, process design, and effective use of technology.
Responsibilities
- Compare team processes with worldwide best practices and propose practical improvements
- Re‑design processes into clear, reusable steps and templates
- Re‑design how knowledge is transferred within the team, reducing dependency on individuals and supporting onboarding
- Assess business problems and understand what each tool is best suited for, as well as its limitations
- Drive automation or transformation initiatives
- Assess which improvements are scalable and which should remain local
- Manage expectations of managers, teams, and internal stakeholders across functions
Requirements
- Upper‑Intermediate level of English
- Accounting or IT background
- Prior experience in a group providing Accounting and Tax compliance services to Clients within a Big4 / Big10 firm, at a management level (delivery background required for context, not execution)
- Prior experience leading or contributing to automation / transformation initiatives
- Advanced MS Excel skills, familiarity with 1C / SAP, ability to learn new tools quickly
- Structured, pragmatic, and reliable; comfortable working in a complex delivery environment
- Demonstrated curiosity about automation and digital enablement
Ideally, you’ll also have
- SAP posting experience
- Broad understanding of accounting, tax, payroll, legal, customs, and transfer pricing processes
- An IT background or exposure to Alteryx, Machine Learning, Python, RPA, and AI. The candidate is not expected to be a developer or technical specialist, but must be able to act as a translator between business / delivery teams and automation / technology specialists. This capability is essential to avoid inappropriate tool choices and over‑engineering.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders, challenge existing approaches constructively, and balance delivery with improvement initiatives
