Associate/Senior Associate - Chinese Business Group

PwC Kazakhstan (Eurasia) China Business Group is looking for Business Development Associate/Senior Associate.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional interpretation and translation support during client meetings, calls, and project discussions

• Serve as a communication bridge between Chinese clients and PwC local teams

• Coordinate project-related communications and ensure accurate and timely information flow

• Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients and manage day-to-day communications with collaboration with the team

• Support the execution of advisory projects by coordinating internal teams and tracking deliverables

• Assist in preparing client materials, presentations, and project documentation in Chinese and English

• Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones are met

• Support business travel arrangements and client visit coordination when required

• Help to manage selected project workstreams and supervise junior team members when necessary

• Assist in conducting basic regulatory and market research to support client advisory engagements

• Prepare summaries and briefings on local business practices and regulatory updates

• Work closely with tax, legal, accounting, and other service lines to ensure integrated service delivery

• Support proposal preparation, including document drafting and coordination of internal inputs

• Maintain proper documentation in accordance with internal compliance and risk management procedures

• Assist in preparing marketing materials and presentation decks for Chinese clients

• Support networking events and client relationship development initiatives

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in business, law, or the humanities and social sciences

• Fluent in English and Chinese; proficiency in Russian and Kazakh will be considered an advantage

• Excellent language skills (interpretation and translation) to provide professional services to existing clients, including meeting and project coordination, project translation, etc.

• Excellent teamwork skills

• Relevant experience is preferred depending on the position applied for

• Able to work flexible hours

• Work Location: Almaty/Astana (occasional business trips possible)
