AI Engineer

DEVXED is an established product company focused on long-term, sustainable development. We work without constant firefighting or unrealistic deadlines and value a calm, predictable engineering process. Our main product is a large-scale e-commerce platform integrated with a lot of marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Walmart. The platform includes high-load backend services, real-time systems, mobile applications, and data-intensive components serving millions of users and products.

We are looking for an AI Engineer to help us design, implement, and productionize AI-powered features for our book and content ecosystem. The role is focused on applying machine learning and modern AI techniques (including LLMs) to real product problems at scale.

You will work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and data teams to turn AI ideas into reliable, measurable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI-driven recommendation features such as “frequently bought together” and “you may also like”;

• Improve linking and grouping of book editions using similarity search, embeddings, and entity resolution techniques;

• Enrich and maintain the book catalog using AI:

  • text cleaning and normalization,

  • automatic category assignment,

  • metadata extraction and validation;

• Build automated pipelines for author data cleaning and deduplication (handling duplicates, errors, and inconsistencies);

• Integrate AI models and services into production systems and APIs;

• Monitor quality, performance, and impact of AI features in production.

Requirements:

• Strong Python skills;
• Experience applying machine learning or NLP techniques in real products;

• Practical experience with embeddings, similarity search, or recommendation systems;

• Familiarity with modern AI/LLM tools and APIs;

• Experience working with structured and unstructured data;

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code.
