Dean of the Faculty of Management

Sharda University Uzbekistan is seeking a qualified, experienced, and visionary academic leader to join the university as Dean of the Faculty of Management. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing academic, administrative, and strategic leadership to the Faculty, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, research, and industry engagement.

The Dean will play a pivotal role in shaping the Faculty’s academic direction, strengthening program quality, enhancing student outcomes, and contributing to the overall growth and reputation of Sharda University Uzbekistan.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Teaching Oversight:

• Provide overall academic leadership for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Management and related disciplines.

• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning through effective curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation.

• Oversee course planning, assessment methods, and continuous improvement of academic programs.

• Promote innovative teaching practices and the effective use of educational technologies.

• Ensure compliance with university academic policies, quality assurance standards, and accreditation requirements.

Curriculum Development & Quality Assurance:

• Lead the development, review, and modernization of Management curricula in line with global trends and market needs.

• Align programs with industry requirements, employability skills, and experiential learning opportunities.

• Monitor academic standards and implement best practices in assessment, feedback, and learning outcomes.

Strategic & Administrative Responsibilities:

• Lead academic planning, faculty workload management, and resource allocation within the Faculty.

• Supervise and mentor academic staff, supporting their professional development and performance appraisal.

• Represent the Faculty of Management in university committees, academic councils, and external forums.

• Foster collaborations with industry, professional bodies, and international academic partners.

• Contribute to student recruitment strategies, faculty branding, and long-term institutional growth.

  Qualifications and Requirements:

• PhD or Master’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.

• Substantial teaching experience at the university level.

• Proven academic leadership experience as a Dean, Associate Dean, Head of Department, or similar role.

• Strong record of curriculum development and academic administration.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills in English; proficiency in Uzbek and/or Russian is an advantage.

• Experience in research, consultancy, or industry engagement is highly desirable.
