This position requires on-site work from one of our offices in Riga, Budva, or Barcelona.
We are seeking an information Security Engineer to take responsibility for the administration and continuous improvement of our internal security systems. You will support the secure operation of our corporate IT infrastructure by configuring and maintaining Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), SASE, NDR and WAF solutions. In this role, you will also handle user access provisioning and vendor support interactions, and contribute to security project activities in collaboration with senior architects. You will play a key part in upholding security best practices across the company and ensuring that our users and systems are protected at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience managing security systems such as antivirus/antimalware solutions, NGFW, VPN/CASB/SASE platforms, NDR and WAF solutions.
Strong understanding of security best practices including least-privilege principles, just-in-time access and basic compliance frameworks.
Experience with access provisioning and managing user access in secure environments.
Experience interacting with vendors or managed security service providers to troubleshoot or escalate issues.
Ability to document and execute standard operating procedures and security workflows.
Familiarity with modern corporate IT environments (Windows/macOS, SaaS tools, cloud services).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve security-related issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in English for both technical communication and end-user documentation.
WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or related credentials.
Experience with cloud security environments and tools.
Familiarity with project and service management practices or leading small-scale security initiatives.
Knowledge of scripting languages for automating security tasks.
Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and micro-segmentation strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Systems Administration:
Administer and maintain security systems, ensuring their optimal performance and alignment with security standards.
Configure and manage NGFW, SASE, NDR and WAF tools.
Manage user onboarding/offboarding in information security systems.
Participate in access provisioning and manage user access controls.
Access provisioning and support:
Provision user access rights based on project and departmental requirements.
Ensure consistent implementation of access control policies and escalate when needed.
Project Support and Implementation:
Gather information for access policies and assist in onboarding new users for new security systems implementation.
Participate in projects, such as deploying hardware tokens for passwordless authentication and 2FA, implementing SASE and NDR solutions.
Vendor and Third-Party Management:
Open and manage support tickets with vendors and third-party service providers.
Ensure that managed systems meet performance and security requirements.
Continuous Improvement and Documentation:
Develop user instructions for selected processes and ensure positive feedback from internal and external users.
Collaborate with security architects and other team members to support project activities.
Regularly review and optimize security system configurations and controls.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure security systems comply with relevant standards and frameworks.
Generate reports and documentation as needed for security and compliance purposes.
Collaboration and Training:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security systems into broader workflows.
Provide training and guidance on security systems best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
Organize and lead internal security awareness events such to enhance the organization’s security culture.
