This position allows for remote or on-site work from one of our offices in Riga, Budva, or Barcelona.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Compliance Manager / Data Protection Manager to join our growing Information Security team. In this role, you will manage the Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation suite, ensure its continuous alignment with the latest information security and betting regulatory requirements applicable to information security processes, and drive compliance initiatives within the information security function and support alignment with broader company requirements in coordination with other relevant teams. Your responsibilities will encompass management and timely update of ISMS policies, oversight of regulatory and certification activities (including ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) and tracking of developments in both international data protection law and industry-specific regulations for betting and iGaming. You will coordinate with the Legal team, external auditors and consultants, lead data security projects (including audits and process development), and proactively drive best practices in compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory reporting across all jurisdictions in which we operate.

The ideal candidate demonstrates deep expertise in compliance and regulatory affairs, with a hands-on approach to both project work and day-to-day operations. You thrive on working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, possess excellent stakeholder management skills, and have a proven track record of translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable controls and processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrable experience in management of ISMS documentation and processes.

  • Advanced knowledge of global and regional regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and betting/iGaming industry-specific requirements.

  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.

  • Proven experience driving compliance programs and managing external audits, certifications, and regulatory projects.

  • Track record of monitoring regulatory developments, interpreting changes, and translating them into internal policies and controls.

  • Experience in managing data security and privacy initiatives, including development of data protection requirements and implementation of data security controls.

  • Ability to coordinate multi-jurisdictional compliance projects and activities, liaising with external consultants, auditors, and legal counsel.

  • Familiarity with process automation, continuous improvement, and documentation management best practices.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Data Protection, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.

WOULD BE AN ADVANTAGE

  • Hands-on experience with privacy management platforms and GRC tools.

  • Experience in the betting, gaming, or financial services industry.

  • Expertise in regulatory reporting, incident management, or vendor risk assessment.

  • Willingness and ability to work on-site at our offices in Riga, Budva, or Barcelona.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in compliance, data protection, or information security management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ISMS governance: Maintain the full set of ISMS documentation, ensuring timely updates in line with evolving regulatory, certification, and business requirements.

  • Certification & regulatory compliance: Handle and coordinate activities related to ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and other applicable standards and industry regulations within the technical/information security scope, including preparation for audits and successful completion of certification cycles.

  • Continuous monitoring: Proactively track changes in global and jurisdiction-specific data protection and betting/iGaming regulatory landscapes as they relate to technical and organizational information security controls; interpret new requirements, and translate regulatory changes into actionable internal controls; ensure internal policies and controls reflect these updates.

  • Stakeholder coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including Legal team, auditors, consultants, and legal advisors, ensuring alignment within the information security area.

  • Data security projects: Lead and coordinate data security projects, including design and implementation of internal data protection requirements, participation in incident investigations, and oversight of regulatory audit activities pertinent to information security.

  • Process development: Develop, document, and improve processes related to information security regulatory compliance and data protection, identifying and addressing gaps to maintain industry-leading standards.

  • Regulatory reporting: Participate in mandatory regulatory reports and notifications within the domain, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with requirements.

  • Awareness & training programs: Support and promote awareness programs focused on regulatory obligations and data protection best practices.

  • Cross-jurisdictional support: Monitor betting industry news and developments in all operating jurisdictions as they affect information security processes, adjusting internal practices as necessary to remain compliant and competitive.

  • Continuous improvement: Identify best practices and drive enhancements in all facets of compliance and data protection management.
