A fast-growing fintech company based in the UAE and part of Big global fintech group of company, specializing in Fintech BNPL.

We are expanding rapidly and are looking for a talented Lead Credit Risk Manager to join our team and help drive our growth.

Company location: UAE, Dubai

Work Arrangement: Remote or Hybrid (Flexible)

Management position: Currently 2 risk analysts are subordinate

Requirements:

- We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Lead Credit Risk Manager who will focus on optimizing business outcomes

- The ideal candidate will balance risk, profitability, and volume to enhance the company’s growth and financial performance, acting as a true business partner to the CEO and leadership team

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and implement advanced credit risk models and strategies that optimize business outcomes, focusing on portfolio profitability and sustainable growth

- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business functions to translate strategic company goals into executable risk policies

- Work hands-on with large datasets, writing complex queries to integrate, validate, and analyze data from various sources and vendors to inform modeling and decision-making

- Hire and manage a small team of analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support in quantitative risk methodologies

- Report directly to the CEO and enjoy a high degree of autonomy and impact on the business's direction and financial health

Must-Have Qualifications:

- 3+ years of demonstrable, hands-on experience in credit risk management or quantitative analysis, specifically focused on optimizing portfolio profitability and business outcomes (beyond just managing delinquency/NPLs)

- Expert, hands-on experience with credit risk modeling (e.g., PD, LGD, EAD) and the ability to integrate models into production systems

- Expert proficiency in SQL for writing complex, efficient data extraction and manipulation queries

- Have skills needed to grow business, like LTV, NPV and profitability of portfolio

- Proven ability to connect the dots across risks, sales, marketing and product, aiming at growing the collective value for the company

- Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business strategies and collaborate effectively across departments

- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach

Good-to-Have Qualifications:

- Experience in fast-growing fintech companies, especially in digital lending, payments

- Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, data manipulation (e.g., Pandas/NumPy), and developing machine learning-based risk models

- Familiarity with cloud data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)

- Previous experience managing or mentoring quantitative analysts
