Knorr-Bremse Rail Vehicle Systems Kazakhstan is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Certification) to join our team in Astana.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of certification processes, including submission of applications, communication with certification bodies, and coordination with accredited testing laboratories.

• Prepare and provide technical documentation and product samples; ensure timely receipt of test reports, certificates, and declarations of conformity.

• Monitor certification deadlines, requirements, and procedures to ensure full compliance with applicable legislation and standards.

• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and clients on certification rules, mandatory vs. voluntary certification, renewal procedures, and inspection control requirements.

• Support voluntary certification initiatives and ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal and regulatory guidelines.

• Maintain clear and structured business correspondence; deliver regular updates and reporting to management.

• Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, logistics, sales) to ensure timely and complete provision of data required for certification activities.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable conformity assessment procedures.

Core Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan’s conformity assessment legislation and certification frameworks.

• Ability to work with large volumes of technical documentation and regulatory materials.

• Exceptional attention to detail; commitment to accuracy and compliance.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

• Structured, proactive, and solutions-driven approach to managing certification processes.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Sciences, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in certification, conformity assessment, or technical documentation.

• English proficiency at Intermediate/B2 or above for communication with international teams.

• Confident computer skills and experience working with documentation systems.

• Knowledge of occupational safety standards and compliance rules.
