CodiPlay is a fast-growing global EdTech company transforming public education in emerging markets. We help students build digital literacy and spark interest in computer science, robotics, and AI through hands-on learning.

We partner with schools across Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and South Korea, reaching 750,000+ students and working to bridge the digital divide with high-quality, practical curricula. We don’t just teach technology—we empower the next generation to create with it.

Now we’re looking for an HR&Admin Specialist to run daily HR, admin, and office operations in Kazakhstan. You’ll be the local anchor who connects our Korean HQ and Almaty Office and makes global processes work on the ground.

Why This Role Matters

CodiPlay is shifting to a simple, global-standard way of working. This role is the on-the-ground operator who makes that change real in Kazakhstan.

You’ll own contracts, payments, documents, and office operations—core tasks that keep everything running smoothly between Korea and Kazakhstan.

What You’ll Do

You report directly to the HR Manager and work closely with the CEO Staff. You’ll also be the go-to admin partner for sales and other teams in Almaty—being reliable is key.

1) Keep Local Accounting Running Smoothly

  • Take over local accounting- learn from past workflows, then help us go paperless (Notion/MS).
  • Own bookkeeping: keep records, run monthly logs, handle payments and transfers, and archive proofs.
  • Follow HQ guidelines and keep everything audit-ready.

2) HR Admin & Local Hiring Coordination

  • Prepare and renew contracts, manage leave, and keep employee files up to date.
  • Coordinate local hiring: schedule interviews, collect documents, run onboarding checklists.
  • Study local labor law to ensure compliance.
  • Standardize repeat tasks with checklists, templates, and databases.

3) Office & Logistics

  • Manage the Almaty office: supplies, repairs, deliveries, and access.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for Kazakhstan-based staff.
  • Support sales and education teams with essential admin tasks.

4) External Admin & Collections Support

  • Support Korean staff with visas and local admin (research, authority visits, document submissions).
  • Work with sales to track invoices, confirm receipts, and follow up with school partners.

  • She has deep experience across CodiPlay’s business and finance, and is now leading global operations and process design. Working closely with her will help you quickly get up to speed on CodiPlay’s global standards.

Who You Are

  • Experience or education: At least 1 year of relevant experience or a degree in accounting, HR, administration, or a related field
  • Languages: Fluent in Russian; English or Korean at B2+ level required (both preferred)
  • Attention to detail: You naturally double-check numbers, dates, and documents without being asked and never make mistakes on details.
  • Tools: Comfortable with MS Excel, Word, OneDrive, and Notion for documentation
  • Process focus: You create checklists, templates, and manuals to standardize repeat tasks
  • Ownership: You take responsibility for executing tasks accurately and completely
  • Team player: You value reliability and collaboration as much as your own skills

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with bookkeeping and proof archiving, especially using Notion databases or Excel formulas/pivot tables
  • Familiarity with visits and filing procedures at government offices, banks, or migration authorities
  • Experience coordinating hiring/onboarding checklists.

Practicals

📍 Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan (on-site)
💼 Full-time, 3-month probation
⏰ 8 hours/day
📝 Process: Resume → Screen Interview (with Wontaek) → Case Assignment → Final Interview
