Purpose of the Role
The Training & Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Head of Training & Support in the daily implementation of Fellow development programs and organisational initiatives. This role focuses on execution, communication, and research**—ensuring smooth coordination between Fellows, schools, government partners, and other stakeholders. The Training & Support Specialist will also contribute to TFU’s work as a **research-driven think tank by supporting surveys, data collection, and the development of evidence-based proposals for improving education and addressing broader social challenges in Uzbekistan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Implementation & Fellow Support
- Support the delivery of Fellow training sessions, workshops, and events.
- Communicate regularly with Fellows and coordinators to provide information, gather feedback, and track progress.
- Assist in preparing training resources, materials, and logistical arrangements.
- Monitor Fellows’ experiences and provide timely updates to the Head of Training & Support.
2. Research & Evidence-Based Practice
- Assist in designing and conducting surveys, data collection, and analysis on Fellows’ progress and student outcomes.
- Support the development of research reports and policy briefs on education and social issues.
- Contribute to evidence-based proposals for education transformation and social impact initiatives.
- Track and document local and global best practices relevant to TFU’s mission.
3. Stakeholder Communication
- Support communication with school partners, government officials, and university staff under the guidance of the Head of Training & Support.
- Prepare drafts of letters, proposals, and reports for institutional partners.
- Help maintain strong and professional relationships with external stakeholders. Team Support
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Training & Support team.
- Assist in scheduling, reporting, and internal coordination.
- Contribute to building a positive and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree (Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or related field).
- Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in education, research, policy, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in Uzbek and English (both written and spoken).
- Strong digital literacy, including the ability to use MS Office, data tools, and online collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for education equity and social change.
Qualifications Preferred
- Russian language proficiency.
- Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, or international organisations.
- Familiarity with survey tools, data analysis methods, or policy research. Competencies & Attributes
