IT specialist

Job purpose:

- Accountable for preserving smooth IT Infrastructure such as desktops, laptops, printers, MFPs and LCD screens, LAN and WiFi equipment at Abu Dhabi Plaza.
- Ensure security compliance as per the standards, provide technical support across ADP assets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assists with administering and maintain information technology systems (including PCs, Laptops, LAN ,WAN equipment, printers, MFPs, LCD screens, VoIP, IPTV);

- Produces first line of technical support for users;

- Provides escalated on-site support of hardware, software and network connectivity issues;

- Assists with local administration and operations functions as appropriate in accordance with standards, policies and procedures;

- In cooperation with local operations staff and key users, provides disaster recovery/business continuity planning to offices and staff in multiple operating, business and functional units;

- Responsible for local inventory maintenance and software license management;

- Responsible for installation and life-cycle maintenance of IT hardware and software (includes PCs, peripherals, operating systems and other software in co-operation with ELV Team;

- Responsible for the smooth operation of the services provided in the tenants' offices and apartments;

- Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (LED screens, TVs, network or PC equipment failure, printers and MFPs), including data backup recovery. Performs complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and re-installations in accordance with established SLAs;

- Provides consulting/training/education services such as knowledge sharing sessions and staff training/orientation for standard systems;

- Support with local IT procurement processes;

- Performs timely procurement, accounting, replacement of consumables and other IT equipment upon request from Line Manager;

- Carries out accounting of use and annual inventory of IT equipment;

- Provides timely copying and backup of data at company workstations;

- Participates in the restoration of the performance of various systems in the event of failures and malfunctions of equipment;

- Maintains a positive reputation of the company by organizing proper communication with the company's staff, site visitors and customer & other companies representatives;

- Informing the management about existing deficiencies in the work of objects, measures taken to eliminate them;

- Informs his immediate superior about cases of hardware abuse and measures taken;

- Performs official tasks, assignments and instructions of the immediate supervisor;

- Draw up reports on the work performed.

- Performing Planned Preventive Maintenance on OT systems, according to the documentation.

- Organization, support and control of the work of contractors and service providers.

- Organization of work, control of work of ELV technicians on maintenance of IT systems.

- Commissioning of IT systems in new offices.

- Implementation of new IT systems

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

- Strong functional knowledge of, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem and tools, DNS, DHCP.

- Functional knowledge of Access Control systems, Barrier systems, Video Management Software, Car Park Management systems, Digital Signage System, Foot Fall systems , Background music Systems.
