HSE Manager

Efes Kazakhstan takes a leading position in the beer market of Kazakhstan. The company is a member of Efes Beer Group, which is a multinational group in the beverage industry specializing in the production and sale of beer and non-alcoholic beverages in Turkey, Eastern Europe and the CIS. Efes Kazakhstan owns two beer production plants in Almaty and Karaganda, as well as regional representative offices in Kazakhstan. We are glad to invite candidates to consider our vacancy of Health and Safaty manager, to ensure strategic and operational management in the fields of occupational health and safety, industrial safety, and to develop unified occupational safety standards across the company and at productions of Efes Kazakhstan.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company’s strategy and unified corporate standards in occupational health, industrial, and fire safety in accordance with local legislation and international requirements.
• Define performance indicators for monitoring HSE effectiveness and ensure compliance through the use of modern information technologies.
• Ensure compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of occupational health and safety, industrial safety, and fire protection at all organizational levels.
• Coordinate the activities of H&S departments at two production sites (indirect leadership) and support the development of employees’ professional competencies.
• Organize the collection, analysis, and digital reporting of key occupational health and safety metrics. Initiate necessary actions based on the data.
• Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and implement best international practices. Drive continuous improvement processes within the H&S system.
• Integrate risk management practices into HSE processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards and ensure proactive safety planning.
• Collaborate with the Efes Group H&S Manager to effectively implement corporate standards at the local sites.
• Ensure timely communication, reporting, and coordination of all incidents related to health and safety (including fires, floods, earthquakes, etc.) with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement training programs in occupational health and safety for both blue-collar and technical/engineering staff. Organize induction training, regular safety briefings, training sessions, and knowledge assessments.
• Create and execute schedules for internal audits and HSE inspections. Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize workplace assessments, including measurement of harmful and hazardous factors, and ensure certification of workplaces and equipment in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Higher education in a technical, environmental, or related field (Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science).

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in HSE, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as international standards (ISO).

• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE strategies at the level of a large enterprise or corporate group.

• Strong managerial skills, with the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for their implementation.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills with various levels of management, external auditors, and government authorities.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Willingness to travel for business trips.
