Go Developer

Andersen is hiring a Go Developer to work in a hybrid format in Kazakhstan for a project developing a secure, scalable payment platform and ensuring reliable transaction processing and system integrations.

Our customer is a large international technology organization operating in the digital infrastructure domain. It develops and maintains high-load platforms that process and manage significant volumes of data across multiple regions. The engineering landscape includes distributed systems, cloud-based environments, system integrations, and advanced security practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous platform evolution.

The project is focused on developing and integrating a modern payment platform that supports reliable and secure payment processing and interaction with external systems. It includes scalable microservices, asynchronous transaction processing, payment status and error handling, with a strong emphasis on resilience, security, and high availability.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining microservices in Go.
• Implementing business logic for banking and payment processes.
• Developing APIs and service interfaces.
• Implementing service-to-service communication using gRPC/Protobuf.
• Developing asynchronous communication using Kafka.
• Working with PostgreSQL, designing queries, and implementing database interactions.
• Implementing Event-Driven scenarios.
• Ensuring proper handling of duplicate messages and operation idempotency.
• Applying distributed systems patterns, including Saga, CQRS, and Transactional Outbox, where appropriate.
• Implementing error handling, timeouts, retries, and recovery scenarios.
• Containerizing services using Docker.
• Deploying and maintaining services in Kubernetes.
• Configuring and using monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Analyzing logs and traces during incident investigation.
• Participating in code reviews and the technical design of new services.
• Ensuring service reliability and performance in production.

Must-haves:

• Strong knowledge of Go and 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing microservices in Go.
• Experience working in the FinTech domain.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka.
• Experience developing and integrating gRPC/Protobuf services.
• Understanding of distributed systems patterns.
• Knowledge of CQRS, Saga, and Transactional Outbox would be a significant advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing services for high-load or distributed systems.
• Experience with error handling, retry, timeout, and idempotency mechanisms.
• Experience with monitoring and distributed tracing tools.
• Understanding of the principles of building reliable and fault-tolerant services.
• Experience integrating services with external systems.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
