Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize Hellmann Logistics' operational activities, ensuring efficient, reliable, and customer-focused logistics services. This role will be responsible for managing daily operations across freight forwarding, transportation and supply chain solutions while driving operational excellence, service quality, and profitability.

The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Regional Logistics Teams, and key customers to ensure seamless execution of logistics services, continuous process improvement, and achievement of operational performance targets.

Operations Management

• Lead and oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient execution of transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding, and customs activities.
• Ensure operational processes are aligned with company standards, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Monitor operational performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and service levels.
• Manage resource planning to ensure optimal utilization of people, equipment, and facilities.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Service Delivery & Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure customers receive high-quality logistics services in accordance with agreed service levels.
• Collaborate closely with Sales team to address customer requirements and resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Support the successful onboarding and implementation of new customers and logistics solutions.
• Establish strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate transportation, distribution activities to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Optimize operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure timely execution of shipments and proactive management of exceptions.
• Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to maintain service quality and operational reliability.
• Drive initiatives to improve supply chain visibility and performance.

Team Leadership & Development

• Define clear objectives, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and support employee development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.

Performance Management & Reporting

• Develop and monitor operational KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Analyze operational performance and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
• Prepare regular operational reviews and reports for management.
• Drive corrective actions to address performance gaps and operational risks.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
• Support quality management and continuous compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Develop contingency plans to minimize operational disruptions and support business continuity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Own portfolio of active customers and logistics service providers in the project cargo, heavy-lift, and oversized transportation sector is required.
• Proven experience managing logistics and supply chain operations within an international environment.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding, transportation management, warehousing, customs processes, and distribution operations.
• Experience managing operational budgets and cost-control initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• English language proficiency: Intermediate and higher.
