Senior QA Engineer

Nauchsoft is an international IT consulting and software development company. We have been in the IT business for 37 years and continue growing.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join complex software development projects and take ownership of product quality throughout the development lifecycle. This role is prospective and has been created in line with the company’s planned team expansion.

The role involves close collaboration with Developers, Business/System Analysts, Product Owners, and other QA Engineers. You will participate in requirements analysis, test planning, functional and integration testing, defect investigation, and release validation.

We are looking for a strong and independent QA professional with broad testing expertise, solid API testing skills, and practical experience using AI tools in daily QA activities.

• Analyze business and system requirements and identify testing scope, risks, and dependencies.
• Design, maintain, and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations between systems and services.
• Prepare and manage test data.
• Validate implemented functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Investigate defects, analyze logs, and collaborate with developers on issue resolution.
• Participate in requirements clarification, backlog refinement, and solution discussions.
• Support UAT and release validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain QA documentation.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall product quality.
• Use AI tools to improve test design, requirements analysis, defect investigation, test-data preparation, documentation, and overall QA efficiency.

• Strong professional experience as a QA Engineer at Senior level.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong requirements analysis and test-design skills.
• Strong hands-on API testing experience is mandatory.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, requests/responses, status codes, authentication, and error handling.
• Practical experience with Postman, Swagger / OpenAPI, or similar tools.
• Experience testing integrations between multiple systems and services.
• Experience working with databases and using SQL for data validation.
• Ability to analyze logs and independently investigate defects.
• Good understanding of client-server architecture and modern software systems.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Ability to independently plan and organize QA activities and take ownership of product quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience using AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or similar tools in daily QA activities is mandatory.
• Ability to use AI for requirements analysis, test-case preparation, test-data generation, defect investigation, documentation, and other QA activities.
• Ability to critically review and validate AI-generated results.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• English B2+.

• Experience with microservice-based systems.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of test automation principles.
• Experience identifying and preparing scenarios for test automation.
• Experience with web and/or mobile application testing.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum / SAFe environments.
