We are looking for a Senior Technical Game Designer to join the development of an unannounced AAA multiplayer-shooter.

The Senior Technical Game Designer will design, implement, and iterate on immersive gameplay features that help bring the player fantasy to life. This role requires a hands-on designer with strong Unreal Engine experience who can translate creative direction into functional systems, prototypes, and production-ready content. The designer will work closely with creative direction, engineering, and other disciplines to develop tools and implement immersion-focused features, while also integrating narrative progression, story, and metagame systems. The designer is expected to take ownership of features throughout their full lifecycle - from concept and prototyping to implementation, validation, launch, and post-release iteration.
Own the design, implementation, and long-term evolution of immersion-focused gameplay systems.
Translate high-level creative goals into clear gameplay rules, technical requirements, prototypes, and production-ready implementations.
Produce clear design documentation, interaction flows, system specifications, implementation guidelines, and feature requirements.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Technical Art, Animation, UI/UX, Audio, Narrative, Production, QA, and other design disciplines.
Prototype, script, configure, and iterate gameplay features directly in Unreal Engine.
Work with engineering and technical teams to define, develop, and improve tools and workflows required to build immersion systems.
Configure gameplay logic, state transitions, interactions, events, and data-driven content using engine tools and visual scripting.
Participate in playtests, evaluate qualitative and quantitative feedback, and drive improvements to usability, clarity, responsiveness, and player experience.
5+ years of professional Game Design or Technical Game Design experience.
Experience shipping at least one PC or console title.
Strong hands-on experience implementing gameplay features in Unreal Engine.
Advanced proficiency with Unreal Engine Blueprints and data-driven development workflows.
Ability to translate creative intent into practical, technically feasible implementations.
Experience collaborating closely with engineers and technical disciplines on tools, systems, and implementation.
Strong written communication and technical design documentation skills.
Broad knowledge of modern games, with the ability to identify industry best practices, evaluate their trade-offs, and apply them appropriately.
Professional-level English/Russian communication skills.
Experience designing and implementing contextual interactions, environmental systems, or diegetic gameplay features.
Experience with Unreal Engine Gameplay Ability System, Data Assets, Data Tables, Gameplay Tags, and Enhanced Input.
Experience developing custom Blueprint tools, editor utilities, or designer-facing workflows.
Familiarity with C++ and the interaction between Blueprint and native Unreal Engine systems.
Experience working with animation systems, montages, state machines, control rigs, or motion-matching workflows.
Experience integrating audio, VFX, UI, and animation feedback into gameplay systems.
