Job summary:

The Cost & Contracts Engineer will support cost control, contract administration, and commercial management within the Civil Works Department, ensuring effective cost planning, contract compliance, and efficient execution of CAPEX projects and maintenance contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and forecasts for civil works projects.
• Monitor CAPEX expenditure, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Administer FIDIC or equivalent contracts, including variations, claims, change orders, and interim payments.
• Review contractor invoices, quantities, valuations, and payment certificates for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial dashboards.
• Support tendering activities, including BoQs, cost analysis, and bid evaluation.
• Monitor contractor performance, commercial risks, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure effective cost control and reporting.
• Maintain accurate contract and cost documentation in compliance with internal procedures and audit requirements.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including proven experience in Quantity Surveying and cost management.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, or airport projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC or equivalent contract conditions and construction cost control practices.
• Strong understanding of preliminaries, BOQs, measurement, valuations, claims, and variations.

• Intermediate or higher level of English
